»Daddy's boy« is the first single
from the upcoming album »Oh Eira«. This is direct and
very energetic pop with influences ranging from Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Smiths, early Television Personalities and '60s garage pop.

Corduroy Utd started as a solo project from 15-year-old Gustav in the year 2001. He was taking piano lessons from Helena of the pop band Edson, and she learned that he was writing songs. She asked him to play some songs for her, and was very impressed by what she heard.
Later on, a tape of the songs were handed on to Summersound Recordings (now Labrador), who immediately signed Gustav as Corduroy Utd.
On this debut EP, Corduroy Utd got some help from Edson. Pelle from the band produced, Helena conducted orchestral arrangements and parts of the band also play on this EP.
Corduroy Utd has just recorded two new songs which will appear
on "the sound of young Sweden vol. 3" later this year.
The sound is going towards a more '60s garage/mod style and the songs are certain to be floor-fillers at any indie club.
